Windows Server Update Service to be phased out, are you prepared?

Microsoft has announced that it will be deprecating its Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), as part of their vision for simplified Windows management from the cloud. While this doesn’t impact home users, it affects enterprise environments that rely on WSUS for updates delivered to many devices.

WSUS allows administrators to manage their server updates, however, with Microsoft deprecating its update service and forcing users like you to switch to third-party alternatives, you risk encountering errors when trying to run the usual updates.

With the use of third-party alternatives, you also lose the usual support you’d come to expect from Microsoft, as you’re not directly using its product. As expected, many users aren’t happy with the changes and see it as a step backwards.

The last thing you want is unexpected downtime, even more so when it could’ve been easily prevented.

Our Windows server backup includes File-level backups and database backups (including MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL), of which we do full, incremental and differential. It also includes Microsoft Exchange, Email Archiving, System State, and Server images including the Operating System.

It’s safe to say we’ve got you covered, let us do all the boring heavy lifting, while you can carry on without worrying about a thing. Our backups allow for minimal downtime, and with backups taken in real-time, the risk of data loss is next to none.
