Access restrictions will determine who can see what. It.s common for the I.T. administrator to be the sole user and have access to all data, however more complex access restrictions can be put in place.

For example, the system could be setup in such a way that a Sales administrator had access to sales data only, while an HR administrator had access to HR data only.

The backup system can be integrated into Active Directory, allowing the AD administrator to setup / disable users.

If replicating to our data-center, access restrictions can be setup for the web portal. When data is downloaded from the web-portal the https protocol secures the data. Additional encryption can be turned on as an option, either before leaving your premises or on our server, the encryption is AES 256-bit.

Whenever data is transmitted over the internet, either to our data-center or cross-site, it is encrypted via the SSH protocol.
